Officers Subdue Naked, Growling Man Claiming He Was the Devil

SEATTLE – Police officers never know what they’re going to get when they respond to a call.
This week, North Precinct officers got a naked man, growling like a dog and claiming to be the devil.
He was high on drugs.
Police were sent to the 2000 block of Northeast 105th Street at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday.
A homeowner had complained that a naked man was on his porch and “growling like a dog.”
By the time officers showed up, the man had walked — on two legs, we assume — to the front yard.
The naked man, whom police said was clearly high, screamed that he was the devil and that “everyone was going to die.”
Officers tried to talk to him, but he ran back to the house.
Police ordered him to halt and lie down.
Instead, the man continued to scream and began breaking windows in the house, cutting himself.
Officers used a Taser to subdue the man.
Officers handcuffed him. Seattle firefighters treated him for cuts.
The 20-year-old man was taken to Harborview Medical Center. Police want him charged for damaging property.

Just wondering what he would have done if a rabbit ran in front of him? Did the arresting officers use handcuffs or a choker chain? I wonder if he can scratch behind his ear with his leg?

Good job. A lot of times this was a normal day for me. Knew my share of "devils" that I came across in my duty days. Still come across them from time to time.

We do occasionally run into some real life loony-tunes out there. This was one of them for sure! Just be very careful with this type individual as they often possess unbelievable strength and they are dangerous! Keep you cool as they really do not know who or what they are or are doing but do whatever you have to in order to be going home to your own home after shift. NEVER try to take on someone like this by yourself or less than three or four Officers at an absolute minimum!

HAHAHAHAHA!! Been there, done that only our local psycho was female. Fortunately she was just transported to a psychiatric hospital! Last time she was in our jail she was screaming SHE was the devil (guess there are a lot of devils out there) right after she had smeared feces all over herself (and the walls, floors, etc). Is it me or.........as the economy worsens are we responding to more 10-73 calls?
