The admissability of the statement might not stand up to appeal. This will have to play out in court.

This is one for the lawyers to battle out in court. THe weight of this "statement' will depend heavily upon the weight of whatever other evidence is presented at trial.. I do not see this one comment resulting in a conviction for this officer. Let it run it's course in court.
