That's really sad. It makes it worse that he is a Federal Officer. It's too bad, really. He just took his career and tossed it out of the window just because he couldn't control himself.

Thanks mz66 for the clarification. Sounded strange what the reporter was saying. In any case, it is a black eye for CBP but they are a great group of guys and gals over there and they will survive this.

Being dumped by your spouse is a lot to swallow...It's too bad some counseling wasn't involved before things reached the level that they did. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often with LEOs. Willing to bet that in the country where the Customs Agent and his wife are from, this is an accepted method for dealing with infidelity, at least as far as wives are concerned.

They were Ghanaians. Ghana is 70% Christian. Also--Mohamed is the boyfriend, not the wife.

Damn. He definitely snapped! Their names are not exactly 'American' so I have to wonder if he was a US Citizen? Is it even possible to be a CBP Officer without being a US Citizen? His wife's name was Mohammad? Was this individual a Muslim? Suppose he had cut her head off for this adultery? Just a huge mess when you have domestics involved. Whatever, he did give the CBP a black eye and brought shame on an otherwise great Agency. They will recover from this, they always have. God Bless our brothers and sisters with the CBP.
