Best wishes for a full recovery to the officer. I would have headed to the ER along with a supervisor with the injury paperwork.

The panhandler gets immediate medical assistance. The officer has to make an appointment for next week? Pay out of his pocket and then ask the department for reimbursement? Is something missing here?

Real quick recovery to the Officer. His "regular" doctor. Does that mean the department is not taking care of the injury?
