Police: Tampa Mom Described Plan as a 'Massacre'

TAMPA – Police say the Tampa mom accused of killing her teenage son and daughter wrote a note before the shootings in which she referred to her plan as a “massacre.”

Authorities say Julie Powers Schenecker bought a .38-caliber revolver the weekend before the shootings. Tampa Police spokeswoman Laura McElroy told the St. Petersburg Times the mother also noted that the three-day waiting period to take a gun home would “delay the massacre.”

Police have said Schenecker shot her children, 16-year-old Calyx and 13-year-old Beau, for being “mouthy.” She is charged with first-degree murder but her arraignment has not yet been scheduled.

Her husband, Army Col. Parker Schenecker, is in Fort Worth, Texas, for Tuesday’s funeral for the children.

So the Colonel is busy leading troops, planning missions, probably getting ready for another deployment to some hell-hole country, and his wife is so grateful that she destroys the two remaining shining jewels in his life. With the horrors the COL has seen already in his tours, I am sure he can think of a way to dispose of his soon to be ex-wife.

If this doesn't qualify for the death penalty, what does? And I would give the Colonel the first option on pulling the trigger or pushing the button. I hope he has good family or friends. He's going to be needing them.

No insanity plea here, she planned it out! Just because you were their mother did not give you the right to kill them for talking back.
They were Gods children and you will pay for taking them before their time.
She needs to be put down like the sick animal that she is.

She is not legally insane as she knew this was wrong and THAT is the defining factor for insanity. She is a vicious individual and she needs to be destroyed for her actions. We know the who, how and why of this terrible crime and nothing else can be learned from it so....take her sorry a$$ out back and put a bullet in her head at the base of her brain. Then allow her husband the option of doing what he wants with the body from burning it in place to burying it.
