BUMP RHOOD, THE CSP, SLSO FOLLOWS THIS POLICY, DON'T FORGET ON OUR GP WE ASSIT WITH DISABLED MOTORIST, ACCIDENTS ETC. ALSO ABLE TO RESPOND TO ANY SITUATION THAT COMES ALONG AND YES OUR CARS ARE KEPT MUCH BETTER THAN ANY POOL CAR
bump rhood. Isn't that the point of "take home cars". You take them home after work instead of commuting by some other means. Of course that means that you are subject to recall and every time you are in that unit you are subject to calls. Additionally the bad guys see a police unit out there and do not know if the guy is off-duty or patrolling or what. Helps keep crime down for no cost. Additionally these units remain in service longer and upkeep is less because these Officers take better care of the unit if it is 'theirs' rather than pool units.
I think the American people would be way better served if politicians would point the financial finger at themselves. No doubt they waste way more money on pork than is used for Officers to take their cars home. Maybe we should start demanding financial records on EVERYTHING they do. Let's start pointing the finger at them for a change.
And the problem is ???????
