Distracted driving is the leading cause of accidents caused by young people. There is good reason for the restriction on passengers and this is another deadly example of why.
I haven't worked WA, but I would have thought the teen would have been arrested and charged on the spot. Another idiot stuck on stupid. Such a tradegy.
Very sad... she didn't do this on purpose to harm anyone, but one must obey the laws & stay focused on the road & those around you.. speaking to others at assemblies, etc. by her as a punishment could possibly help prevent & save others from these instances/tragedies especially to those inexperienced drivers. Perhaps the DA could try to turn this tragedy into something positive/productive as her speaking out about this in schools', etc. to help others be more "aware" of their driving & surroundings & safety of "others" as well as themselves. Not criminal, but hard lesson learned..
