Rep. Ellmers should not have announced her intention to carry a concealed handgun. She has only served to alert any potential nut-job who might try to harm her that she is "packing". I am also wondering just where she intends to carry the weapon, only in her home State or even when she is in Washington DC? This could lead to legal ramifications for her, and any other politician who decides to now "carry heat" as a result of the recent Arizona shooting.
