I wouldn't of even argued... If I was the one with the snowplow stuck on the sidewalk and an officer said for me to move the vehicle, I'd tell my son to get his truck in gear and push or pull that snowplow out of there with the quickness.
***I wasn't there*** but I would only assume that the incident turned into a heated debate; esculated by the father and/or the son.
We must all remember the Golden Rule of Judge Wapner: "Don't take the law into your own hands. You take it to court"
BTW. Invest in a snow blower!
It's amazing what people think when someone was trying to do something "good", even though they are doing something illegal.
Must have been a slow day for the RCMP.
I hate this Global Warming it messes everything up!! I'm sure the Magistrate or Judge will make the final decision!!!!
Just because they make a law doesn't mean it's Constitutional! As long as they were not gouging the senior citinens it is a little over kill on the RCMP There is Karma! The Officers have descretion to give warnings!
So the guy was using an ATV within city limits (which is illegal) and his son's truck was blocking part of the roadway (which is illegal) when the RCMP officer showed up. Now they are using the media to spin things and intimate that they were fined for "trying to assist Senior Citizens". No, you got fined for violating the law. Here in the NYC area we see stories like this all the time. People get arrested or get a summons and they run to the Media to spin things and claim that the police were "picking on them for no reason". You took a chance by using your ATV and you lost, so shut up and pay the fine.
