I'm certainly glad that all the department's officers are still employed. There are many departments that have lost oficers due to buget cuts. I think the union did a disservice not partiipating in the arbitration. It's appropriate that the fire department gets an additional 5 vacation days and the police department doesn't. I guess that's the city punishing the department's officers for the union not participating. Sounds like more cuts are on the way.
