@Combatvet80 Out of order?? That highway patrolman left them no choice. When someone crosses the line in public they have made their bed. He would have done the same if he was in uniform. I doubt any of those deputies enjoyed hooking him up but at his level of intoxication he is a ticking time bomb and can't be left to sit in the stands and assault someone or do something else he would later regret. No cop likes hooking another LEO but if your left with no other option because of the off duty officers behavior its your job over mine....sorry. Additionally after he was in the cell if he would have cooled off and cooperated I bet they would have cut him loose but he continued to act the fool so here we are....you just can't reason with someone that drunk.

This guy shouldn't have been throwning anything at an LEO, it's one thing to mess around in private but this behavior in public is totally unacceptable. He should have been cooperative and apologetic from the first moment of contact. He shouldn't have damaged property at any time in his career. If he acts like this while drinking, he shouldn't have been drinking, let alone in public. It's a pleasure to see you leave my beloved profession before you harmed a member of the public. Another badge tarnished by a disturbed individual who snuck through the system.

Well, I'm not sure why they would've done all of that if they knew he was a brother in blue then they could've talked about it instead of being so out of order?

I suggest that they work on securing their cell doors. If an inmate can kick it open, that's rather pathetic.
