Shooting probe appears to clear officers

Intersting article from a small area south of my hometown. I hope the officers aren't thrown under the bus when the city is sued by the dirtbag's family. I wonder who first thought of the whole " Oh man, we can make some money now. Let's sue for pain and suffering and say he was rehabilitated."?
Obviously he wasn't a pillar of he community and was driving drunk and could have killed anyone on the roadway, let alone the officer's he attemted to kill!
It's too bad that police officer's families can't get money from the dirtbag and their family, who didn't raise him to be a law abiding citizen, and killed their loved ones!!!
