That's insane. I hope this shows a lot of folks that you have to conduct a better search. I don't like grabbing anyone's junk like the next guy, but if he ain't complaining about it, I'm not doing a good enough job. Squeeze em like you want em to explode!

All i can say is wow. I can imagine the look on the officer's face when he found the gun.

I gave this a thumbs down due to the piss por search done by the arresting officer. He should get down on his knees and say a prayer of thanks that this toad did not shoot him from the back seat. There is no excuse for this to happen, this is your life that is at risk. Good job by the jailer for finding it before it got to the floor.

Despite the obvious deadly risks involved in improper searching techniques, when officers conduct poor searches, we still have some officers standing directly in front of an un-cuffed suspect, patting them down or conducting a half-assed search that would miss even the most obvious of weapons and contraband. Perhaps it is the attitudes of these officers that people are generally decent and good, and "it" will never happen to them. As for me and my partners, we will bet our survival on our trained abilities and we will search as if our lives depended on it -- because they do!
