Parrots Ferry Closure Due To Shooting

Question for the Leos:
When the officer returned to his squad vehicle and found out that this guy that he just stopped had a warrant out for his arrest, do you feel that he should of called for backup? I'm thinking that he probably should of.

Clearly, the officer said that he was going to run his ID and the guy would of known that he had a warrant.
Yet he tried to apprehend him on his own it appears.

What would you all do if the same scenerio presented itself?
