Associated Press
December 21, 2010
KENNESAW, Ga. — A Customs and Border Protection officer from Kennesaw has been arrested in the shooting deaths of his estranged wife and her new boyfriend.
Cobb County police say 32-year-old Michael Ntiamoah is charged with two counts of murder, aggravated assault and battery in connection with the deaths of 27-year-old Fatoumata Ntiamoah and 32-year-old Mohamed Zaine. Police say Ntiamoah went to his wife’s home and shot the couple.
Neighbors told police Ntiamoah chased his wife down the street as he fired shots at her. Police say she died in a neighbor’s driveway and Zaine was found inside the home.
A spokesman said Ntiamoah worked as a uniformed officer at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He is being held without bond at the Cobb County jail.

This is always a rough time of year for people, even more so for those under a lot of stress, which, unfortunately, includes those in our profession. Tragic, and I hope no children were involved in this sad set of circumstances.

The difference here is that he is a CBP officer entrusted and authorized to carry a firearm 24/7 and protect the citizens of this country. He is held at a higher standard the same as I am as I also work for CBP. Anytime a police officer or federal agent/officer breaks the law, the image of us "all" is tarnished as well as the confidence and respect of us by the public. The officer does deserve his day in court as well a thorough investigation by the local authorities, so I agree w/ HEYSARGE in letting it play out...

AS usual the suspects occupation has nothing to do with what he is charged with, if he wasn't a C&BP agent, this would have just been local news, bet there is someone arrested almost every dayor two on murder charges in the greater Atlanta area.
