Border Patrol Agent Killed in Southern Arizona
Associated Press
December 15, 2010
ARIZONA – The U.S. Border Patrol has confirmed that one of its agents has been killed in Southern Arizona.
Border Patrol spokesman Eric Cantu confirmed the agent’s death but had very few details to release Wednesday morning.
The agent has been identified as Brian Terry, according to KVOA.com.
At least four suspects are in custody, while another one is still being pursued, according to Nogales International.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Terry family for their tragic loss. Our commitment to Agent Terry and his family is that we will do everything possible to bring to justice those responsible for this despicable act,” U.S. Customs and Protection Commissioner Alan Bersin said in a statement.
KOLD-TV in Tucson reports the incident occurred just after 11 p.m. Tuesday in the Peck Canyon area north of Nogales.
Cantu tells The Associated Press the FBI is investigating the agent’s death.

Working as a BP agent is in my opinion one of the hardest and deadliest LEO jobs there is because of many reasons but one that stands out is because they work all alone in very dangerous areas with little to NO back up available. America needs to protect her borders and she needs to do it now. God Bless Leo Terry and know that he will not be forgotten by those of us who have the border in our daily lives.

Get the TSA airport staff on border patrol. That's where the real danger lies.
My thoughts are with Agent Terry's family at this tragic time.

SCATX43, the law enforcement lives mean nothing to Napolitano, Obama, or anyone else in the administration. This is just acceptable losses in their quest for more political power that potential new voters would give them. Both sides are just as guilty.

I wonder how many more law enforcement officers are going to lose their lives before Napolitano and the rest of No-Bama's administration dig their heads out of the sand and DO SOMETHING. Since 2005, 1000 officers have been killed along the U.S. - Mexico border ... that's 1000 too many. Sending prayers to Agent Terry's family and loved ones ... rest in peace, brother
