December 01, 2010
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Authorities in New Jersey say a robbery suspect killed a police dog by throwing it into traffic.
Gloucester Township police say the 3 1/2-year-old German shepherd named Schultz was trying to apprehend the man around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the man grabbed the animal and tossed him onto the busy roadway, where it was struck. The suspect ran off.
Police Chief Harry Earle says the man was one of two people suspected of robbing a local restaurant. Both men remained at large Wednesday.
Further details on the encounter and the search were expected to be announced at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.

Very Sad!!! He died a hero. I hope that piece of crap of a suspect gets what he has coming to him. My prayers out to K-9, his handler, the PD, and the family.

What a piece of crap, I can't stand to see anybody hurt an animal. The New Jersey Justice System better come down hard on the bad guy. The K-9 Handler must have shown strong contol over his emotions and not shot the POS after throwing his partner into traffic.

Rest In Peace to the K9, the handler has lost a good partner. It is a shame that the perp was not run over by a big rig.
