PHOENIX – A Phoenix police officer rolled his SUV police vehicle on its side while heading north on 91st Avenue near Broadway Road in a response to a call.
The 33-year-old officer lost control of the vehicle, which ended up on its side, lodged against a pole on the side of the road, Phoenix Police Department spokesman Sgt. Tommy Thompson said.
The officer, a veteran of 11 years, was transported to the hospital but did not suffer injuries. Thompson said the incident was being investigated.

Glad the officer is alright. I personally don't like SUV on patrol. They do not handle well at all.

And this is newsworthy why? there are a lot of officer involved car accidents, the good thing about this one is that the officer was almost certainly wearing his seatbelt, a fact that would have been nice to mention in the article. Officers are involved in accidents going to calls somewhere in the US almost every day why single this one out?
