MANCHESTER, N.H.—A New Hampshire robbery suspect is in custody after a police SWAT team talked him out of a Goffstown home that he had refused to leave for about five hours.

Police say 22-year-old Logan Janas refused to leave the Goffstown residence where he was tracked by police after the clerk at a Manchester store wrote down the license plate of the getaway car following the 4 p.m. Tuesday robbery.

Police say the robbery suspect threatened her with a knife while demanding cash.

Given the violent nature of the robbery, police called in the SWAT team and negotiators.

He surrendered without incident at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The robbery remains under investigation.
