Video: Naked Jogger Gets Tazed By Florida Officers

MELBOURNE, FL – A teen in Florida was Tasered by police in Florida while going on a leisurely jog earlier this week.

Mind you, he was naked at the time.

The incident, which was captured on video released on Wednesday, went down in West Melbourne. A patrol car passed 18-year-old Anthony King as he ran along the sidewalk, donning nothing but a pair of swimming goggles.

“I’m like, ’Don’t run, I’m gonna Tase you, stay down!’ So what does he do? He just keeps running,” a police officer can be heard saying on the dash-cam video.

Police follow King and order him to stop, but he continues to jog. Then one of the officers chases him on foot in an effort to stop him. The officer then uses his Taser on the teen.

A camera in the Taser captured the moment the darts are fired into King, who instantly fell to the ground. He was later taken to Wuesthoff Hospital in Melbourne, but suffered just a few scrapes from the fall, police said.

“He was jogging buck-naked and didn’t even have on shoes,” said Commander Steve Wilkinson, a spokesman for the West Melbourne Police Department. “We suspect he was under the influence.”

“He was a little incoherent,” he added. But “he was also very nice and apologetic for our inconvenience.”

King, who allegedly told police he was a “superhero,” faces charges for exposing his sexual organs and resisting arrest.
