FORT WORTH, TX – A Fort Worth police officer fired at a suspect he said rammed his squad car and was trying to run over the officer early today in the 6700 block of Marvin Brown Street in northwest Fort Worth.

According to police reports, Officer K.M. Bickley stopped an SUV that matched the suspect description in a shooting on Bob Hanger Road.

The driver of the SUV pulled into a driveway. As the officer got out of his car, the SUV driver rammed Bickley’s squad car several times and then tried to run over the officer.

Bickley fired seven rounds at the vehicle. He was not hurt and the SUV fled the scene.

About 7:30 a.m., officers found the suspect and his SUV on Boat Club Road.

The suspect, whose name was not released, was unhurt.

He was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant and faces possible charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a police officer and felony criminal mischief.
