Kidnapped Women Safely Returned After Being Held for Ransom

KANSAS CITY – Kansas City police arrested two men and a woman after they allegedly kidnapped a woman and a four-year-old girl and demanded a large amount of money for their safe return.

Police received a call reporting the kidnappings about 9 p.m. Tuesday. Police responded to the 3700 block of Virginia Avenue where a man told them that his girlfriend and daughter were kidnapped.

The boyfriend told police that an unknown man had kidnapped them and demanded a large amount of money for their safe return.

While investigating the kidnappings, officers went to a nearby residence in the 4200 block of Highland Avenue where the three suspects tried to flee on foot. They were arrested after a short foot chase.

Both kidnapping victims were found outside the house uninjured.
