Officers Release Image of Suspected Bank Robber

HOUSTON, TX – Authorities are asking the public to help them identify a man they say robbed a bank on Interstate 45 in southeast Houston.

Money was taken at the Capital One Bank in the 11400 block of the Gulf Freeway near Almeda-Genoa Road Tuesday.


This suspect was photographed at a bank along Interstate 45.

The suspect walked into the bank, went to the customer check-writing counter and wrote a note. Then he handed a teller the note, which demanded money and threatened the woman.

The teller gave the man some cash and he walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported.

He is described as about 50 years old. He is about 6 feet tall and slim. He has salt-and-pepper hair and a similarly-speckled beard. He wore a red-and-white baseball cap, a grey T-shirt with a Jim Beam logo on it and jeans.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the man’s charging and arrest.
