SC Deputy in Bikini OK, But Not Sudsy Patrol Car
September 23, 2010
MONCKS CORNER, S.C. — A South Carolina sheriff’s deputy in a bikini at a car wash is OK, but you’d better not show pictures of that sudsy patrol car.
Pictures posted on Facebook of a charity car wash cost a Moncks Corner police officer his job earlier this week.
But multiple media outlets reported there will be no disciplinary action against a bikini-clad Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputy who participated in the event.
Moncks Corner Police Chief Chad Caldwell said a police officer has been dismissed for allowing a city patrol car to be photographed amid bikini-clad women at the Sunday event.
The sheriff’s department says the woman deputy will not be disciplined. A statement says she was off duty, did not use any department resources and did not violate any county or department policies.
