Police: Naked Woman Steals Louisiana Cab

NEW ORLEANS – A drunken St. Clair Shores woman with a history of drug abuse remains in a New Orleans-area jail after being arrested on charges of getting naked and offering a cab driver sex in exchange for a ride to Michigan.

She stole the cab when the driver refused, police said.

Jennifer Gille, 29, has a “fairly extensive narcotics” record in Michigan including heroin, Capt. Jack West of the Covington, La., Police Department said Tuesday. Gille was in the St. Tammany Parish Jail on a $500 bond, he said.

West said the cab driver told police that his problem with Gille began about 1 a.m. Sunday when he was dispatched to a motel to pick up Gille. She got into the cab and gave him an address, West said, but once they arrived, she wouldn’t get out of the cab.

Gille “began acting crazy and took off her clothing,” West said in a statement. The cabbie drove to the Covington Police Department for help. When he went in, the woman drove away in the cab.

Police found the vehicle and Gille in a parking lot a block from the station. She was naked in the backseat and still refusing to get out, West said. Officers forcibly put her dress back on. “She was so stoned … that she couldn’t really answer questions,” West said.

Gille was charged with unauthorized use of the cab and obscenity. “She’ll probably end up with probation,” West said.

According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, Gille has 2008 convictions for assault on a police officer and assault with a dangerous weapon.
