SUV, Crossover, Stationwagon, Call it what you want, in a pursuit it will rollover and the chase will be over and Bad Guy wins. Now is the time for GM to come back with a full size Police Vehicle. It is appearent Ford does not want the Law Enforcement Trade anymore. Chrysler lost out when they stopped making the Fury III and Dodge Patrol units. In the 60's and early 70's Dodge and Plymonth were the best for Running down Bad Guys.

it looks very cramped in there, almost as if Ford decided to put too many things in there and not enough breathing space. I really don't believe that they should have called it an SUV, as BO2234 has mentioned, because it isn't. It's a station wagon. I personally don't believe this packs enough punch and it doesn't look intimidating enough. I personally believe that they should have sticked with something that maybe looked like the Crown Victoria, not some weird police car gimmick.

It's not the Explorer. It's the old Edge that was renamed the Taurus X. So basically it's a station wagon, or crossover from the yuppie market. It has no business being marketed as an SUV. Those of us that were around for the first Taurus police cars are still cringing at the thought of this. Ford will pay later.

This is the new Explorer, not the edge. The MDT appears to be the equipment we have from CLEMIS. Our cars have the same set up of the computer. CLEMIS is based in Oakland co MI.

You can add Law Enforcement equipment to ANY vehicle and it can be a Police Car. As for thise, no bueno. I don't like it. The expeditions from like 04 on accelerate and go pretty fast. Older than that, not so much. I say they just stick to the expeditions.
