Boston Officer Sustains Injuries in Motorcycle Crash

BOSTON – Police are investigating a morning crash involving a Boston Police motorcycle and a 2000 Honda Civic near the Thomas P. O’Neill Tunnel, officials said.
The crash happened about 8:41 a.m. on Interstate 93 northbound just before the tunnel, said Lieutenant David Wilson, a State Police spokesman.
The motorcycle driver, a Boston police officer who was on duty, suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, said Boston Police spokesman James Kenneally.
No other injuries were reported, Kenneally said.
Wilson said it was too early in the investigation to know if anyone would be charged.
One lane was closed for a short time, he said.
