MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A Shelby County Sheriff’s deputy’s attempt to stop a driver for a traffic offense started a chain of events that included the suspect ramming a police cruiser and heavily damaging a house.
A news release from the department said Deputy Richard Henderson tried to stop a driver after seeing his car run a stop sign Tuesday morning. The suspect at first ignored the blue lights, but then stopped, backed up and rammed the front of the cruiser.
With police in pursuit, the driver lost control, ran off a street and plowed into a brick home, punching a hole into the living room. The driver then ran into the woods.
No one was in the house and the deputy wasn’t hurt.
Police were still searching for the suspect.

I would be so pissed if I woke up to find a hole in my living room. Those deputies would have to hold me back.
