NAPLES, Fla. (AP) – A Collier County deputy was reprimanded after shocking a colleague with a Taser in an incident meant to be a joke. The December scene was caught on tape at the Collier County jail. A female deputy was seen showing a message on her iPod to Cpl. Wilmer A. Arencibia, who followed the woman and shocked her on the behind with his Taser.
Arencibia told investigators it was “a spur of the moment thing” and acknowledged the behavior was improper.
He was given a reprimand and final warning after an internal investigation.

Reprimand??? The idiot should be fired and be darn lucky not to be charged criminally. I spent almost 41 yrs in law enforcement, having just retired one yr ago, and it still amazes me that people are so damn stupid.

In any other job field something like this would mean termination and she would probably sue him and her boss/employer...fortunately for him, women who love their job put up with crap like that because they don't want to be "one of those females." If she did sue for sexual harassment she would be ostracized.

Not a bright one there. Not because it was vicious or really poor judgment... I've seen worse. It's because 1. There is a woman involved 2. There were cameras 3. It was in the workplace (unprofessional) and 4. You never do anything with the taser that doesn't involve a situation you wouldn't mind being scrutinized over. This, obviously, wasn't one of this situations.

He'd be unemployed if he worked at my department. A Taser is a weapon and should be treated as such. This is obviously one idiot that slipped through the hiring process and needs to be canned before he does something else stupid.

In the old days we called it playing grab ass. This was a little elevated in that it involved a tazer. The place and time were off, and if the lady did not know the man, then it is even worse. Cannot play around anymore. The world has got too serious, and there are eyes, ears, and assholes just waiting to hang you for what is called inproprieties.

What an ass. Someone has to rain in the police things seem to be really getting out of hand what with the guys that beat that collage kid after the B - Ball game last week and then lied about it. Seems like there letting anyone become a cop these days. makes it look bad for the good guys. If there are any left.!!
