Officer Killed After Cruiser Struck Utility Pole

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – A Maryland police officer who struck a utility pole with his cruiser last month has died.
Prince George’s County Police say 27-year-old Thomas P. Jensen was responding to a call on Feb. 27 when he lost control over an icy stretch of the roadway in College Park. He was transported to the local hospital but has died of his injuries.
Jensen had been with the Prince George’s County Police Department for five and a half years.
