I still remember waking up bright and alert before it all happened, feeling like something was terribly wrong. I turned on the news just minutes before the first plane struck thinking, "Omigosh, those premonitions were real."

It still brings me to tears. May we never forget those who dies, especially the first responders who rushed into the danger as others fled from it.

This should never be allowed to happen again. It was a very tragic day. I remember watching it 'LIVE' at an aunt's place in Lagos- Nigeria and Wondering if it was a movie trick only to discover it was for real......and oh i can remember the horrific feeling seeing those people jumping from the towers to thier deaths in a bid to escape th raging inferno......Oh! America, this must never be allowed to happen again.

I've been to NYC and I've seen ground zero. We can look at all these horrible photos and think we've seen the devastation. When you're standing there looking at a gigantic hole in the earth where the towers were, you feel the sadness. It's unlike anything that you will ever feel from photos. I'll never forget.

gave these pictures a thumbs up because I feel it was about time that they were made public. Not because I condone the actions taken by the terrorists that horrible day, but because too many people have become lax and complacent. They have forgotten what happened, not being reminded about the 9/11 attack has made it seem less devestating. We need to be constantly reminded how bad it was so that it won't happen again.
While advising Japan's military leaders, during WWII, about the futility of invading mainland U.S.A, Admiral Yamamoto stated, "You cannot invade mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass."
We need to be that nation again. A nation that is patriotic...a nation that is united.

gstyle78, I truly and wholeheartedly agree with you. This horrible and tragic ATTACK on our nation has affected every single one of us in one way or another. I remember where I was. I was in my Health class in college, I came back to my dorm to see my roommate holding her head and looking at the television in horror. I asked her what was going on and she couldn't talk. I saw the second tower get struck and could not believe what I was seeing!!!! I ran over to my Criminal Justice class and was trying to reach my boyfriend (at the time), whom at the time was in the 414th Military Police Unit (Army). When he got to class he had this look on his face and I knew he was going to be deployed. He was, right after Christmas to GITMO to watch over these sons of bitches who aided in ATTACKING our country!! Even in Missouri we felt it. I have always been patriotic to our country and now I am a Police Officer, which makes me even more so. I feel for the people who lost someone in this ATTACK. I don't think we should just brush this under the rug and forget, because you know what happens when we forget, we become complacent and we will be attacked again! This is our country and we need to stand strong! God bless all of the lives that were lost and the lives it affected, and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
