Senior Parole Agent Killed in Four-Car Crash

An Illinois Department of Corrections parole officer was killed when another driver struck a highway median, flipped over and struck the vehicle he was driving.
Senior Parole Agent Ellane Aimiuwu served with the Illinois Department of Corrections for almost eight years.
The crash happened Sunday at approximately 2:55 p.m. on Interstate 80 and closed a section of the road for nearly four hours, according to Master Sgt. Bill Fuentes.
The driver of the vehicle that caused the crash, a 64-year-old male, was airlifted from the scene in serious condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by state police.
