Protest Against Sheriff Joe Turns Violent

Calling an illegal alien an undocumented worker is like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist! I'm sick and tired of people defending illegal aliens. They claim these people are not criminals. Really? Other than the fact that everything from people with failure to appear warrants to murderers and sex offenders cross the border, the very fact that they cross "illegally" makes them, in fact, a criminal. People that cross the border illegally and remain in the country are criminals. Criminals are arrested by police. It's a rather simple concept that the bleeding hearts just don't grasp. Do not get me wrong, I have no problem with people from other countries moving here for a better life, a better opportunity. Just do it legally. The country can't take much more, and illegal immigration is a huge factor, affecting everything from school shortages to welfare, medical care to employment. It's a huge problem and if the President won't fix it, then I guess it's up to people like Sheriff Joe and his deputies. If you doubt anything I'm saying, come to beautiful southeast Arizona. But hurry, before the garbage (empty water bottles and tuna cans) cover the landscape or it all gets burned down by the groups of illegals building campfires in the mountains.

dirtydave1, you must have misunderstood what I posted. I agree with you 1,000% ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS - THAT'S RIGHT - ILLEGAL ALIEN (NOT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT) SHOULD BE DEPORTED! Illegal Immigrant is some bullcrap tital liberals came up with in a clever attempt to cloud the issue because they think the citizens of this nation are stupid. For starters, lets talk truth. Historical truth. Lets start with Texas. You stated it belonged to Mexico? You must have been asleep in class the day they covered history. How about the period before the 1500's when the indians lived in the area of what we call Texas today. Indians such as the Apache, Atakapan, Caddo, Comanche, Cherokee, Choctaw, Karankawa, Kickapoo, Kiowa and others. These were the first residents. Then the Spanish arrived around 1519 and 1528 but did little until 1685 when the Spanish settled the colony of Fort Saint Louis at Matagorda Bay which lasted a mere 4 years due to hostile natives. In an attempt to beat out the French, Spain started to build missions and in 1718 San Antonio became the first Spanish settlement in Texas. The treaty in 1749 between Spain and the Lipan Apache Nation led to war with other tribes. The treaty between Spain and the Comanche Nation in 1785 led to the defeat of the waring indian tribes and the eventual peaceful conversion of most indian tribes to cristianity by the end of the 1700's. In 1821 the Mexican War of Independence included the territory of Texas and she became part of Mexico. The population of Texas grew from 3,500 in 1825 to 37,800 in 1834. In 1830 enforcement of customs duties angered all mexicans and the first open revolts of the government began. Texans (mexican citizens) held a convention in 1832 and again in 1833 to discuss the future as well as independence. Federalists and Centralists of Mexico continued to clash. Unrest developed into armed conflict in late 1835 which resulted in the Texas Revolution. You may remember the Alamo (a thirteen day battle). Texans signed a Declaration of Independence in 1836 forming the Republic of Texas. Sam Houston led the Texas Army and defeated the Mexican Army at the Battle of San Jacinto forcing Santa Anna to sign the Treaties of Velasco. Continued unrest and armed conflicts led the Repulic of Texas to petition for annexation into the United States which was finally accepted in 1845. When Texas was annexed, Mexico broke diplomatic relations with the US. Mexican troops attacked a US Calvary patrol and the Mexican-American War began. A series of US victories led to the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ending the 2 year war in 1848. The US was given undisputed control of Texas for $18,250,000. The current boundries of Texas were established in the compromise of 1850. A Texas State Convention considered secession from the United States on January 28, 1861 and adopted an Ordinance of Secession on February 1, 1861. Texas voters approved the Ordinance on February 23, 1861 and Texas joined the Confeterate States of America, ratifying the permanent Confederate States Constitution on March 23, 1861. With the defeat of the Confederacy, Texas became occupied by the Union Army. It was not until 1870 that Texas was readmitted into the Union. Have you ever heard of the term "six flags over Texas"? The Flags of Spain, France, Mexico, Texas, Confederate States of America and the United States of America have all flown over Texas as the sovereign colors of Texas.
