Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch reportedly has been accused of stealing $20 from a police officer’s wife.

The Buffalo News reported Saturday on its website that a complaint to police said Lynch took money from the woman last month at a restaurant in Hamburg, N.Y. The woman’s husband, Buffalo Police Sgt. William Crawford, filed the complaint with Hamburg police a day after, but they delayed giving a statement to detectives until Wednesday.

The incident reportedly occurred Dec. 7.

Hamburg police declined to comment but confirmed that Crawford made a complaint.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, for now. The complaint sounds fishy to me.

i see a big civil suit coming. once she said she was scared of him. I think she saw opportunity and took it. The rumor i heard on another social networking site said he took her money intending to pick up the check and she refused to take the money back causing an argument but thats just rumor. but it does make sense. Her poor husband getting dragged through this for $20

I don't know about this. Dude makes millions but need to steal $20 stinkin bucks! Only if he is a major klepto. As far as all NFl players being crooks. I have to disagree. I personally know two former NFL players I call friends who are not cops and I have heard after their careers are over it is not uncommon for players to go into LE. Their are about 1,000 NFL players and even more who no loger wear a team uniform and we only heat about less than 5% of them getting in trouble. Yup i think Marshawn is an idiot and needs to grow the hell up but don't assume all current and past NFL players are like Lynch.
