SALT LAKE CITY – The suspect in the shooting death of a Utah sheriff’s deputy has been arrested after being found asleep inside a shed.

A spokeswoman for the Millard County sheriff’s office says 37-year-old Roberto Miramontes Roman was captured around 8 a.m. Wednesday in Beaver County.

Lindsay Mitchell says Roman was taken into custody along with another suspect, Ruben Chavez.

Chavez is the owner of a Cadillac that was stopped early Tuesday by Millard County sheriff’s deputy Josie Greathouse Fox, who was shot dead.

Roman, the subject of an intensive manhunt, has been charged with capital murder.

Beaver County Sheriff Cameron Noel told The Salt Lake Tribune that deputies found both suspects asleep inside a shed.

Authorizes firing squad if lethal injection is held unconstitutional. Inmates who selected execution by firing squad prior to May 3, 2004, may still be entitled to execution by that method

Why is in Utah the state will shoot people for their religious beliefs such as the John Singer murder but will go all out to make sure cop=killers ' civil rights aren't violated? This is so wrong..

To bad these guys didn't draw down! Could have had a quick out come. Here's to a speedy prosecution. I just hate the idea of paying for a Cop killer to survive.
RIP Deputy Fox! Prayers to family and friends....

Brings the phrase...........'you snooze, you lose' to a whole 'nother realm. Now, I hope the memories of the shooting death of Ms. Fox haunts you until the death penalty can end your useless existence. RIP Ms. Fox!

Unfortunately, they outlawed death by firing squad in UT :( True, everybody would want to be on that squad! Now they only do lethal injection.
We really should use the death penalty more often. I severely hope the killer doesn't get off...

Thank God they caught this animal, I have to commend the officers for being professional in his arrest and not letting emotions get them. Let the system work now, may the wheels of American Justice crush him and roll him right into the death chamber.
