Anti-Terror Officials Let Terror Suspect Keep Visa

WASHINGTON – The State Department says counterterrorism agencies were warned that the Nigerian man who allegedly tried to blow up an airliner Christmas Day may be under extremists’ influence.

State Department spokesman Ian Kelly says it was up to the National Counterterrorism Center to coordinate the interagency effort that would have blocked 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab from entering the U.S. He says U.S. counterterror agencies received the information on Nov. 20, a day after it was provided by the father, but it was not enough to revoke the visa.

Kelly says officials get thousands of negative messages about people that are not always accurate.

He says Abdulmutallab got the two-year tourist visa in 2008 because he had money, was attending a reputable school and had visited the U.S. before.

Its not that it wasn't enough to revoke his visa, the State Dept., was worried that Al Sharpton, or Jesse Jackson, would cry fowl and protest outside of the Depts head-courters.
Then, 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, would have sued the Goverment for discrimination, and due-to-the-fact that 95% of all "Judges" are horse's a$$es they would have found in favor of him and awarded him an insaine amount of cash, along with a perminant visa. Then 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab , would have used the money to help finance a larger terroristic attack against the U.S. After which doing so, the judges and court system would dodge the media bullet (along with Al and Jesse) and guess who the public would place the blame on....? Thats right good-old- Leo's!!!
So in retrospec, being that a tragidy was averted, I think the whole situation played out in America's best favor, ESPECIALLY since no one was hurt!! Sorry Al, sorry Jesse, maybe next time.

The only reason we did not have a large number of people murdered by this terrorist was because the detonator did not function properly. After all the red flags raised by the perp's actions failed to draw reasonable response by the responsible Authorities.

It wasn't enough to revoke his visa????? WTF? What the hell does it take? I'm surprised these idiot liberals in the Federal government didn't give the guy a first class ticket with caviar and champagne. Absolutely unreal!

"Kelly says officials get thousands of negative messages about people that are not always accurate."

Yeah, but it only takes one to cause disaster, doesn't it? Maybe if Napolitano, Pelosi, and the rest flew along with us peons they'd change their enforcement polices, you think? Otherwise, who cares, right?

This will continue to happen unless the feds take these terrorist acts serious. They must also treat it like war crimes not domestic crimes. Plus, they need to get rid of Napolitano. This lady is clueless and useless. The TSA is a joke.
