Police: Rescue Of Kidnapped Girl A 'Christmas Miracle'

PHOENIX, Dec. 26 (UPI) — A man suspected of abducting a 5-year-old girl in Arizona has been taken into custody after a police chase ended in a crash, authorities said.
Police, who had been looking for the girl for eight hours Friday, spotted a suspicious vehicle in north Phoenix, which sped away, leading police on chase that ended in a crash, The Arizona Republic reported.
After the crash, the girl was recovered and a suspect arrested, the newspaper said.
Police say the girl was abducted at 2:15 p.m. on Christmas Day from an apartment complex as she and her two older sisters were playing outside.
The newspaper said the 9-year-old sister went to a neighbor’s apartment to report the crime.
