Radical Ties Being Considered at Fort Hood
Soldiers wait to enter Fort Hood on Thursday [New York Daily News]
Associated Press
November 06, 2009
(AP) A senior U.S. official in Washington isn’t ruling out the possibility that the alleged Fort Hood shooter had ties to radical groups, but isn’t saying whether there’s evidence to back it up.
Officials now say a 13th person has died in yesterday’s rampage in Texas and 30 were wounded. Authorities at first thought one of the dead was the shooter, accounting for a delay in identifying him.
Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, Fort Hood’s base commander, told CBS’s “The Early Show” that the alleged shooter is rumored to have said “Allahu Akbar,” (God is great) during the shooting, but was unable to confirm that information. As military officials try to piece together what may have pushed Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan to turn on his comrades, the wounded suspect is on a ventilator, unconscious and under guard in a hospital.
Law enforcement officials say Hasan came to their attention at least six months ago, because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats. It’s not yet certain he authored the posts.

Something to think about. CCW when OD. I have been a street cop for thirty years and in that time I rarely carried off duty... my choice. I have never needed a weapon when OD, but this type of incident is becoming common place and can happen anywhere...anytime. How would you feel if you were in a position to stop and SOB like this, but didn't have your OD weapon. It's time to start. I agree, we are at war and the battlefield is not just in some desert overseas. It is here too. I'm awake are you?

He will be ranting at his trial that we have no right to try him in our Judicial system. Under Sharia law he would be found innocent of killing of "Infidels" (enemies of Islam). We are not enemies of Islam. We are enemies of anyone who attempts to destroy our American way of life. If you can read a book thank a teacher, if it's in English thank a soldier.

It has been reported in the news that this shooter tried to convert some of his patients to Islam when he was counseling them. Things get reported that are not true but,,,,if it is true,,,,since he was a psychiatrist it could be assumed that he was treating many PTSD patients. People who might be very vulnerable to indoctrination or pressure considering their states of mind. Could end up being quite a problem if not addressed by the military. Hope the guy heals fast and gets tried by my home state of Texas. We execute lots of criminals.

Gang bangers joining to learn our tactics, Muslim extremists joining and killing our own, what kind of background checks are the military doing (or not doing) on these folks?

Well said fplasencia & DesertVet91. I agree with most of what both of you have said. This country is at about 1% Muslim population. When/if it hits 5%, we are in trouble. That is when a country loses its identity. Look at some of the European and Asian countries that have populations at 5% or above and you will see what I am talking about. As far as the ACLU and other groups like them, they will be the first to go when Sharia Law goes into effect. Sharia law covers all aspects of life. Roughly there are five areas of Sharia law:
1. Belief- Allah, His angels, His books, His prophets, the Day of Judgment and the decrees of God.
2. Moralities-giving good counsel, humility, patience and so forth.
3. Devotions-the Five Pillars, alms, pilgrimage to Mecca, and jihad.
4. Transactions-business law, marriage, divorce and disputes.
5. Punishments-stoning, amputation, lashings, and retaliation.
The following is a quote from an Islamic site:
"The important thing about Sharia law is that it is perfect and sacred. Law based upon democratic process is offensive to Islam because such law is based upon people. Sharia law is based upon the Koran and Mohammed, the only perfect guidance. Therefore, it is an offence to Islam for Muslims to have to live under democratic constitutional law. This is the reason that Muslims want to replace our banking laws with Sharia law and replace our family law with Sharia law."
This is a war folks. Know your enemy!

We don't need people like this and those of immoral character protecting us. What happened to a few good men and women? Quality trumps quantity any time. Check out Joshua when attacking Jericho, it's scriptual. Get rid of immorality and imcompetence and you have an elite fighting force.

When this country stops being so politically correct and our elected officials held accountable for the rules of engagement, which have changed dramatically leaning towards appeasing the people who share the radical views of the enemy of the Islamic faith, then and only then will we be comfortable in our own homes and places of work and worship. I will be surprised if the people of America wake up before another homeland confrontation takes place. The brave officer who shot the gunman yesterday didn't know she was shooting at an enemy of the US, all she saw was a soldier gone ballistic. This is what's ahead of us, the enemy in Americans clothing and it's going to be left up to the citizens of America to point out the enemy, however it will eventually be left up to the officials on the outcome of our freedom and safety. Will they respond too soon or too late and will we have to give up more of our liberties to obtain success? What will have to happen before the people of America wake up and realize that silence has let the enemy infiltrate their country? To be persuaded into thinking that if one speaks up in defense of America by radical Islamic groups that's already here on our land is racist, then we've already given our country to the radicals and people should just start buying the attire that's going to be required. If you think what I'm saying is extreme then you need to go back and research the history of the countries that have been taken over by the radicals of Islam. You will find peaceful Muslims who kept silent. Yes you will find those who fought against the takeovers but how many? and look at the outcome. If we, the American People don't stand up against the silence then we are going to be blamed by those who are left to suffer. This country was founded on Christian values, not Muslim values and if people believe that it isn't fair to the Muslims for Our God to take first place before theirs then they need to go where the Muslim faith is the only faith, Saudi Arabia. I don't care what you've been told, believe me our God's are not the same. Our Bibles/Koran are not the same. If you also believe that the ACLU will protect you when the Muslims try to change your way of life then your wrong also. People need to first, follow the money then follow the religion. I was born in a Christian country and I don't feel like changing it to a Muslim country now or anytime in the future. I've heard more Muslims argue about how I feel more than I've heard them argue about the proposed takeover by THEIR peers that practice THE SAME religion, Islam. People, they read the same book, the Koran. They practice the same religion, Islam. Ask yourself, why haven't the radicals targeted Muslims, people of their same faith here in America? Then you need to ask who in our government are paving the way for the radicals here in America? We are in for a very rude awakening right here in America. I agree with many people that we need to end those two wars real soon....we are going to need all of the soldiers we can get right here. Believe it or not, people of America are being lied to and led down a path that will be almost impossible to recover from. I'm suffering from the Swine Flu along with my daughter but I know a warning when I see one, and I'm not up to an argument with those who don't believe me. I just know what I know and I've witnessed the hate in the eyes of those who want us dead, believe me and not some free loving nut who's only wanting to express to the world they are not racist when actually race has nothing to do with it.
