The Candelight Vigil, is one of the most moving memorials I have ever attended and each time I do attend I feel the sense of loss, the togetherness of my Brother and Sister Officers and the hope that in the future the numbers of names added on the wall wach year will be lower then the last. Reality is that we live in a violent society, where the criminals all to often have little or no respect for the men and woman who stand on the Blue Line and without resservation will take the lives of those who have chosen to protect society from violence.

It's hard not to choke back tears looking at this. God bless everyone on that wall and their families. They are truely heroes.

Great event. Very emotional. Wish I were there again this year.
But, "speaker of honor" was U.S. AG Eric Holder?
So, this guy is our top cop, with his hands are on the steering wheel of the public safety bus?
That scares me to the point where I don't know whether to cry or just scream.
As a Justice Department functionary, Holder couldn't help Bill Clinton pardon his cronies fast enough of their white collar or dope dealing felonies.
And, as AG, he can't clear dangerous international terrorists out of Gitmo fast enough.
So, if he is the "speaker of honor" anywhere...especially at a NLEOMF event...God help us all...

My heart feels heavy and my chest tightens when I see these pictures. I will never forget my brother in arms, Tpr. Kevin M. Marshall.

God blessed this group. Many pray for all of you and hold you in high esteem for who you are and what you do. God speed and may the public awareness be lit with fire to support and pray for you. Thanks.

The Candlelight Vigil is always a special event, and last night's was no different. If you have your own photos, please upload them to your PoliceLink photo albums to share with everyone who couldn't make it this year.
