I will never forget the memorial services in 2008 when my brother's name was added. I will forever be indebited to everyone responsible for the pagentry and honor in these services. I still cry when I remember being escorted to the service and seeing the streets and highways lined by his LE Brothers and Sisters saluting our buses-cars and motorcylces illuminated. It was a sight I will never forget.
My sympathies to all of the families that lost a loved one in 2008. Hopefully you were able to find some comfort in the services this week.
To everyone that participated in 2008 Police Week I can NEVER say THANK YOU enough. God Bless you all!! And God keep all of our LE family safe from harm.
RIP to the fallen-You are never forgotten!

John 15:13,14 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. The highest human exhibition of love that earth has ever seen was this.
God Bless all those who have gone on before us and those who still protect us here on earth.

As I watched this slide show, I could not help but think of my fallen friend and fellow officer, Deputy Len Rowell of the Pearl River County Sheriffs Department. His name is on that wall. He was gunned down on Interstate 59 in South Mississippi. I am sorry I could not be there to provide back up. You are not forgotten Len.

This is a wonderful event. Very touching and meaningful. I didn't attend until 45 years after my father lost his life in the line of duty. My heart goes out to all those who have lost loved ones and especially the children who will never know their parent. I miss my father very much.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
