Even tho I have been in law enforcement for 10yrs, I haven't been either. I too have friends and collegues on the wall and hope to go see it someday. Thoughts go out to all who lost family, friends and collegues. They are missed and thought of often

I have never attended the ceremony but it still makes me feel proud of the 23 years that I served in law enforcement. Unfortunately there are 5 names from the Sheriff's Department that I worked for on the memorial. This has been a bad year so far and I pray the deaths of officers will slow down. R.I.P. my Brothers and Sisters in blue.

I heard that the President did not even show up for this entire event. The first in 27 years. Sad

I have attended this ceremony in the past, it is very moving to see. I have etched the names of my fallen comrads from the ring of honor as well. I think everyone should see this memorial at some point in their career to remind them of how precious our lives truly are. Stay alert and strong my fellow LEO's, don't let your name get added to this list.

These Photos are only a glimpse into this event to truly understand just how moving it is you just have to be there. This was my second yr and it was very moving..God bless the fallen officers and their family...would be nice to have a day where we dont have to add any more names to this memerial...but unfortunetly this is one memorial that sadly will never be finished....RIP Micheal "Monkey" Page EOW 6-30-07

I was amazed and awe struck - looking out into the crowd and seeing all those candles held so high. I can't expain the sense of unity I felt that night - What a humbling experience - great pics - thanks!!!

I went 4 years ago and it was one of the most moving experiences in my life. Seeing a sea of blue taking over Washington DC!! What a sight!!! The vigil is a time to reflect on our departed LEOs and is very emotional. All the tours and museums are free to LEO. I would recommend anyone contemplating going to GO!!
