  Hey all!

  Sorry I haven't been on here for the last year! I have been busy! I've moved my horses to another barn, blew a head gasket in my blazer, got drug arrests while working mounted patrol with my partner, wrote a book, got engaged, started playing soccer again, and all kinds of other busy-ness! Yes, I said engaged! He is a wonderful Christian man, a 1LT in the Army in AR. Set the wedding for Sept next year in the Smokies of TN. And yes, I did say I wrote a book! It is titled "Restoring Acres". Check it out online at www.RestoringAcres.com or look it up on Facebook! I am waiting for the Foreword and the cover art to be done before I send it off to be published by WestBow Press. Restoring Acres took me only about 6 months to actually write. Then over the last several months I've been editing, re-editing, quadrupal editing, and adding and subtracting and rewording and revising parts. But it's pretty much ready for the publisher now! I will try to get on here more often and update info on Restoring Acres and life as it all progresses. Thanks to those of you who have messaged me over this last year! I do appreciate it!   Last night I lay in bed
  My gut sick and sour
  pounding in my head
  tragedy struck this hour

  Knowing something was not right
  the void of not knowing
  kept awake half the night
  while red lights were glowing

  While the world lay sleeping
  we are alert and awake
  vigilant guard he was keeping
  making no mistake

  All of us connected by fate
  a brother now laid
  forever to rest on this date
  his oath and promise be paid

  St Michael Protect Us ...

  For we fight the good fight
  leaving our families behind
  kissing them good night
  going back to the grind

  Put ourselves in harms way
  so that others may rest
  knowing we keep evil at bay
  being the best of the best

  The blue line has been stained
  with the blood of a brother
  all feel sorrow and are pained
  all feel the loss of another

  St Michael Protect Us ...
  Hunt them down we yell
  none will take rest
  find the evil from hell
  desecrated our crest

  Black band across shield
