About Me
Starting in 1983, I spent 14 1/2 years with the Dept. of Corrections in the prison system and Probation & Parole, 3 1/2 with the Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement (ABLE) Commission in sworn & commissioned job positions. In 2000, I left those behind and moved to the Dept. of Human Services as an investigator. I spent 4 years in Child Welfare and 4 years as an investigator for the Office of Client Advocacy. I decided that I missed the interaction with the children and decided to move back to Child Welfare. I hope to make more of a difference in the lives of children. My position is not sworn or commissioned and it was quite an adjustment to give up my firearm. I am considering obtaining a concealed carry license, as my law enforcement training exempts me from most of the requirements. I just haven't gotten around to doing so yet and I couldn't carry while on duty, anyway.
