Personal

About Me: I'm 22 years old and currently serving in the US Army as a military police officer. I have been in for about 3 years. My first assignment was to South Korea, where I was a patrolman. I was there for 1 year before I moved to Fort Carson CO. I am am working as a traffic officer right now. I am planning on getting out of the military and becoming a civilian policeman. I haven’t decided where I want to work yet. Part of me wants to go home and go to the academy that my dad when to. The other half wants to stay in Colorado, it is to nice to leave.

Praying for you Steven and hoping you make a full recovery!!!!! For those that have not heard, Steven was struck by an IED in Afghanistan on 11/02/2009. He was critical, but at last word from his family, he is stabilized. He is serving with the 984th MP Company out of Ft. Carson, CO. 6 months left on tour there.

The Final Inspection

The warrior stood and faced God,
Which will always come to pass,
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

“Step forward now, old warrior,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my church have you been true?”

The warrior squared his shoulders and
Said, “No, Lord, I guess I ain’t,
‘Cause those of us who carry guns
Can’t always be saint.

“I’ve had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I’ve been violent,
‘Cause the world is awfully rough.

“But, I never took a penny
That wasn’t mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,

“And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I’ve wept unmanly tears.

“I know I don’t deserve a place
Among the people here,
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.

“If you’ve a place for me here, Lord,
It needn’t be so grand. In life
I didn’t expect nor need too much,
So if you don’t, I’ll understand.”

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod,
As the warrior stood quietly.
For the judgment of his God.

Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets,
You’ve done your time in Hell.”
