About Me
Professionally and academically: 1) Currently an active candidate for the NYPD. GOT MY LIST # IN MID-JULY!!! Now waiting on "the call". 2) Currently an active candidate for the Secret Service. Heard back in mid-July, and am being processed at a Grade Level 9. Waiting to take the TEA exam with them. 3) Also an active candidate with NYC's Department of Investigation. 4) Currently employed by a nonprofit criminal justice and victim services agency. 5) Just finished my Master's in Criminal Justice and Police Administration in May 2009. I'm currently working on publishing the research I did on policing domestic violence for my master's thesis. Figured I'd get the school out of the way so I don't have to go back in the middle of juggling a career, family, home, etc. :) Personally: What else can I tell ya? I'm happily living with the love of my life who is applying to law schools this fall (yep, a lawyer...can't win 'em all, lol!). I adopted a kitten (Toni) from the city's pound and she's just a little furry ball of energy who CONSTANTLY finds ways to get into trouble, lol. I'm a typical 20-something in NYC: I enjoy live music, I eat out, go to the movies, hang out with friends, play video games on occasion, and love love doing things outdoors. I'm a big frisbee player, soccer player, and runner. I hit the gym 3-4 times a week. :)
