- About Me
- I personally have been trying to pursue a law enforcement career for almost 2 years now with no luck. I unfortunately keep getting passed up. Maybe some higher ranking officers can help me with some suggestions. I am very good at talking to people, but I have a hard time saying exactly what I feel and think. I also don't know how to respond when they ask me who/what I feel that agency is. For example, my last interview I was asked "in your own words, describe who you think we are and what you think we do" by a captain at the sheriff's office. Now I could care less about the power that I get from the badge/uniform. That has nothing to do with why I want to become an officer. I am passionate about helping people. That's all I want to do in life, help people...make a difference in someone's life, teach children who we are and what we do...keep one more drug dealer or child pedifile away from a school. To me risking my life for this cause is worth it. And let's face it...we all like a little action and excitement right? lol Maybe some of the upperclass officers can make some suggestions or share experiences? Some more about me (so I don't sound disgruntled lol.) I believe in love and passion, honor and integrety. I believe in putting everyone else in front of one's self. I am very much in love with 2 of the best children a parent could ever ask for. I swear my daughter is an Angel that God sent to help me thru. I just bought a house with my boyfriend back in June of 08. We are now engaged and getting married on June 9th. That's right ladies...JoeRCSO is about to be my husband! My children will always be my number 1 priority. I am very lucky. I have a very wonderful, very loving and forgiving family that will stick by my side and support me no matter what life brings me/us. Thank you Lord, I am truely blessed. UPDATE** Wow...I never thought I would be screwed over by every law enforcement agency I've applied for just for being a stay at home mom! I guess that's not responsible work experience. Tell ya'll what...and maybe you'll reconsider this. Do a search and find a mother who is staying at home with her children. Ask to trade her jobs for a week. Then see how tough you have to be..see how "responsible" you consider it to be after that. Then you might see how dedicated and strong we are.

Montana State Trooper
In most of the United States there is a policy of
checking on any stalled vehicles on the highway when
temperatures drop to single digits or below. About
3am one very cold morning, a Montana State Trooper
responded to a call there was a car off the shoulder
of the road. He located the car, stuck deep in the
snow with the engine still running. Pulling in behind
the car with his emergency lights on, the trooper walked
to the drivers door to find an older man passed out
behind the wheel with a nearly half empty bottle
of vodka on the seat beside him. The driver came awake
when the trooper tapped on the window. Seeing the
rotating lights in his mirror, and the trooper standing
next to his car, the man panicked. He jerked the gear-
shift into 'drive' and hit the gas.
The car speedometer was showing 20-30-40 and then
50 MPH, but it was still stuck in the snow, wheels
spinning. The trooper, Having a sense of humor, began
running in place next to the speeding (but stationary)
car. The driver was totally freaked out. This goes on
for about 30 seconds, then the trooper yelled "PULL OVER"
The man nodded, turned his wheel and and stopped his
engine. Needless to say, the man was arrested and is
probably still shaking his head over the state Trooper
in Montana who could run 50 MPH.
Who says troopers don't have a sense of humor?
Hope you have a great weekend! Stay safe!
