- About Me
- Here's a little bit about myself, I"ve been in Law Enforcement a little over 9 years. I have 2 sons, 2 daughters and a Grandson...
I was born and raised in Austin, Tx. I joined the U.S. Marines after High school.
I attained the rank of Sergeant while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. From March 1980 to August 1991, participating in Desert Shield/Desert Storm during the last year of service. Following my honorable discharge in 1991, I worked as a Security Supervisor for the City of Austin Public Library System until 1998, I then went to work for the Lower Colorado River Authority. I began my career their as the Security Supervisor for the Public Safety Department. Soon after, I attended and graduated from the CAPCO Police Academy and became a Commissioned LCRA Ranger (1999-2000). In 2001, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, a rank I held until my resignation in 2005
I'm currently a fulltime Security Manager for the City of Austin-Austin Energy Department and a Part-time Police Officer for the Austin Community College in Austin Texas.
My License/certifications include: TCLEOSE Instructor License; Basic Peace Officer License, Intermediate and Advanced Peace Officer certificates, SFST Practitioner; Marine Enforcement Officer; Basic Emergency Medical Technician license; Basic Open Water Diver; High Angle Rescue Technician; O.C. (pepper Spray) Instructor; ASP (Tactical Baton) Instructor; National Safe Boating Education Instructor; Texas Parks and Wildlife Boater Education Instructor; LCRA Boating/Lake Watch Coordinator; LCRA Field Training Officer; Institute of Criminal Justice Crime Prevention Officer; TCLEOSE Crime Prevention Inspector and Swift water Technician I & II, Certified in Homeland Security-Level IV.
I have also completed the Fundamentals of Search and Rescue course by the National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR).
I'm currently a member of the American Society of Industrial Security, The American College of Forensic Examiner Institute, INFRAGARD,Texas Crime Prevention Association and I'm also on The Capital Area CrimeStoppers Board of Directors.
