Thats a Good Question I do not know myself but from what i've been reading the Town has broken contract with the Sheriff and is in the process of Reinstating The Police Department. And the reason why they eliminated the department in 2006 was to save the town money. But on the other hand I personal feel that was a bad idea because I have family out their and they say its quiet but Their is nothing like A Police officer and Cruisers to keep it that way.

They most likely at the Sheriff's office in the Town of Saluda and thats like 13 miles away from Ridge Spring and or they maybe at the county shop where they keep the sheriff small fleet of spare cars. And the sheriffs office is that big at all they only have 21 sworn officers including the Sheriff himself. And the Sheriff has a Substation in the Town of Ward since they do not have a Police Department nor Fire Department. Also The Sheriff's Department had also assigned 2 deputies who work between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to the town when the town was under contract.

" To Answer your question Yes, They do have 3 marked Ridge Spring Patrol Cars , Because I have seen them before. when Ridge Spring Had a Police Department they would have 2 cars parked and one car on the road because they had 2 or 3 police officers at that time when they were shut down. And also before the department was shut down one of the officers was the Middle School SRO and pulled double duty patroling on the weekends and working in the schools threw out the school year. lThey maybe stationed at the Saluda County Sheriff's Office and I have seen Sheriff Deputies patrol Ridge Spring in RSPD Cruisers.

A just to give you a heads up in the Saluda County Album your missing a Department and That is The Town of Ridge Spring Police department, they have their own cars that have the town name and everything but the Town has been in a Contract with Saluda County Sheriff's office since 2006. The RSPD will be a stand a only department sometime in the near future.

Happy Sunday! Hope you have a very relaxing weekend and a great week ahead. It's been raining and cold here all week and they said it wasn't suppose to rain today, someone needs to look out their window. I don't remember what warm weather feels like and what is sun?
