About Me: I am a police lieutenant at a small department just south of Dallas, Tx. I started my law enforcement career in 1986. I am married to a wonderful man who is a motor jock at another police department. We have been married for 11 years and enjoy our time together. In our spare time we like taking road trips on our Harley. We like to travel and hopefully will be able to travel more when we retire. I am a huge animal lover and love to be outside.

I promised many of my PoliceLink friends that I would keep you updated on my new mystery/suspense trilogy. I'm pleased to announce my first novel, Child Finder, has debuted this month. It is available online at Barnes & Noble, and
Amazon. It has already received some great reviews, to include a 5-Star rating by Armchair Interviews!
I am hosting a formal launch and book signing event at Borders bookstore, Chapel Hills Mall, Colorado Springs, CO on Sunday, June 7th, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. It would be great to see you there, but if you cannot make it, then I hope you still get your hands on a copy of my book.

Last night I lay in bed
My gut sick and sour
pounding in my head
tragedy struck this hour

Knowing something was not right
the void of not knowing
kept awake half the night
while red lights were glowing

While the world lay sleeping
we are alert and awake
vigilant guard he was keeping

a brother now laid
forever to rest on this date

Put ourselves in harms way
so that others may rest
knowing we keep evil at bay

The blue line has been stained
with the blood of a brother
all feel sorrow and are pained
