About Me: I am a police officer here in Roanoke Alabama and I am looking for a opportunity to move up within my police department to investigator some day soon,or into a Federal Agency(d.e.a.),(f.b.i),secret service,or homeland security,(a.b.i),or the (a.t.f) or even police chief,and I am looking for some help in getting started, I have three college degrees(an associates of arts in business administration/criminal justice(A.I.U.Online), an associates degree in electrical/electronics technology(ICS center for degree studies), and a bachelors degree in criminal justice administration from A.I.U. Online). I am a black male in my mid 30s with (2) years active army and (8) years active army reserves, making me a veteran with over (10) years military service, and i have over (14)years total in law enforcement,(8)years certified ,and (6)years reserve police officer and I love the department I work for and I am ok with the police chief that runs the place, because I work for him ,but I just wish he would stop overlooking his senior officers,promote me and give me a shot at being an investigator or reward me for my achievement from college,because I feel that we all deserve better, especially the senior officers in the department that keep getting passed over.I have seen more people that I helped train and with less qualifications and less time in service get promoted over me because of who they were or who they know. Anyone with advise on how I can improve my chances in becoming an investigator, assistant chief here in Roanoke or anywhere else, please help me out, but I perfer to stay with my department if possible. Who knows, maybe I can fix the damages and get the departments morale back up to where it needs to be, and make it a better workplace. I could also improve the community and police relations within our city once I am promoted, because this is also bad at the moment.........
